Well, I guess this one has run it’s course… I, however, was thinking of it’s accuracy as it came to prophesy. Sure Eric, you make a great point. The Bible has been proven to be historically accurate, but it has also been shown to do a tremendous job of prophesy.

If we worship an all knowing God, we would expect to see prophesy fulfilled, and truthfully, no other book can stand up to the track record of fulfillment. To get a better look at this go to this site to read more: http://www.geocities.com/worldview_3/quranvbible.html

We’ve actually been talking about this very thing at Centerpoint lately… our current series is about “Choosing Your Spiritual Path” and we’ve been dealing with different world religions and belief systems. One of the things that came up in talking about the Bible was the amazing historical accuracy… how there are literally thousands more reference documents for the Bible than there are for any other ancient writing, and how they date back much closer to the actual events. From a purely historical perspective, the Bible has a much greater chance of being accurate, and very few can really dispute that.

Sorry to nitpick – please get rid of the apostrophe in Sermon’s on the tab on top and the heading of that page. You mean Serrmons, plural, not ‘of the sermon’.

Well, at least you Jered made up for it… The man who was #1 on the list got his wife only a skillet two years ago. Last year he got her nothing (she got him a Wii). So hopefully, this year, he will get her something nice… however, with the history given, I wouldn’t count on it! :)

ps – when is he coming home?

One year my husband gave me a bathroom scale, an ab roller and hot rollers. I guess they were things that I had mentioned that I wanted…the next year though, I got a pair of diamond earrings!

At First Pres in Tiffin, we used to leave the Nativity up through Epiphany and move the wise men closer each week until they got there. I always thought that was cool.

Congrats on the weight loss! Keep it up (especially with teh holidays and all the stuff going on in your life). I found that I continue to go back to food when I get depressed, stressed, or just down. Turkey day is coming though!!! Yeah!
